Our three Miss and three Teen Titleholders kicked off the week of competition with the annual Miss Texas Gala. Each titleholder competed in a private interview prior to starting the nightly preliminary competitions on stage. Each of our ladies did extremely well and we are very proud of them all.
Miss Plano 2008, Adrianna Nelson performed the inspirational vocal number How Great Thou Art for her talent. Her participation in the finals night of competition resulted in being awarded 2nd RU to Miss Texas 2008. During the preliminary pageant programs, Adrianna won was awarded Talent and Swimsuit preliminary winner and received the overall Evening Gown award as well.
Miss Frisco 2008, Brooks Dennard performed "Show Off" from the Broadway musical The Drowsy Chaperone for her talent as was in the Top 10 and finished in 6th Place to Miss Texas 2008.
Miss North Texas 2008, Brittany Forrester performed Ballet en Pointe to "Feeling Good" by Michael Buble for her talent. She finished in 7th place to Miss Texas 2008 and additionally won Overall Alpha Swimsuit.
Teen Plano 2008, Taylor Lowery performed a Jazz Dance to Jon Bon Jovi's #1 Hit – You Give Love a Bad Name for talent. She was awarded 1st Runner Up to Miss Texas' Outstanding Teen 2008 and was a Talent preliminary winner.
Teen Frisco 2008, Lea Ciskowski performed "Once Upon a Time" from the Broadway musical Brooklyn for talent and was additionally awarded 4th Runner Up to Miss Texas' Outstanding Teen 2008.
Teen North Texas 2008, Hillary Sproul performed the vocal piece "Anyway" by country music star Martina McBride for talent. Hillary placed in the Top 15 and was awarded the non-finalist Talent Award.
We can hardly believe our time with them is almost over. Once the State competition takes place we move ever closer to our annual pageant which will bring us the next set of titleholders.
We will forever hold our 2008 Miss Ladies and our 2008 Teen Ladies as members of the MPFO family! It isn’t easy to put into words what an impact each has made on our lives.
All of them individually hold very special talents which will serve them well in the future and we are thankful for our time with them.
