Madison is in her sophmore year of high school and is an A honor roll student whose classes include advanced placement for English, Spanish and Math. Additionally Madison is involved in UIL (University Interscholastic League) through her school and participates in various speaking events. As a Cheerleader, she is also a member of the Do Something League, the Interact Club, Spanish Club and the FFA Greenhand Group, for which she serves as President.
With all of her school activity somehow Madison still manages to spend many hours volunteering at camps for special needs children, to include volunteering at the Special Olympics and raising financial contributions for the Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Madison is very passionate about volunteering and sharing her time to help those in need. In fact, she enjoys sharing her platform as well, which is a personal message about putting an end to bullying. She knows first-hand the effects and feelings to be the victim of a bully. Her desire is to educate and reach those who have been affected by this very conscious and deliberate behavior.
In sharing her platform with students, Madison explains this repeated and hostile act can be very serious and result in long term effects. She helps her audience to understand three key elements about bullying: They are not alone, it is not the victim’s fault and most importantly something can be done about it. Currently Madison is working with school counselors and encouraging students across the state of Texas to join her in promoting an environment of a “bully free school”.
As a volunteer many times Madison is given the opportunity to perform her unique talent of ventriloquism, which she has been mastering since the age of 6. She performs all over the state of Texas with her “Sidekicks” and her performances have reached audiences from the ages of 3 to 103 not only in Texas but in Las Vegas, NV and in Branson, MO as well.
Madison is a young woman who holds sound moral principles and always lets her sunny personality shine through as she stands up for what she believes in. She is a wonderful young teenager who understands the importance of mentoring in addition to the significance and value of being an honorable role model to younger and future generations.
