Christmas Party – MPFO Style

01.05.08

December 15th we all gathered together for the party of the year our annual MPFO Christmas Party held at "Pageant Central" (Troy and Ricardo’s amazing home).   Board members & Family , Lone Star Princesses & Family , past titleholders & family, supporters from across North Texas all attended to help welcome our new titleholders to our MPFO family!  It was a blessing to see.  The amount of gifts the girls recieved was amazing – thanks to all who participated in the event!

Here are some comments from the titleholders on their experience:

"I LOVED the MPFO Christmas Party! It was so nice to see everyone and celebrate Christmas together! We started off the evening by playing a Christmas Trivia game with the Lonestar Princesses. The game kept us in stitches, because Anna and I had no idea who most of the answers were while the Lonestar Princesses got every question right! We’re still convinced that they were using a trivia cheat sheet :)

After the game, a delectable holiday dinner, and a hilarious round of Go Fish, we started the best tradition of the Christmas party– opening presents! Having attended the party numerous times but never as a titleholder, I was excited to be on the gift-getting end of the spectrum this time! In all seriousness, though, we were so spoiled, and I can’t thank enough all of the people who so kindly gave us gifts. You are so sweet!
After more chit chat and catching up, it was finally time to say good bye. We all donned our big winter coats and hugged, hugged, hugged until we practically were kicked out! It was such a fun night and really got me in the Christmas spirit. Can we have another one soon??? :) "  Brooks – Miss Plano

"The Christmas party was such a wonderful time!  Troy and Ricardos house was so beautiful and they were such great hosts!  Everyone looked so happy in there festive outfits!  But, the cutest ones of all were the sweet Lonstar princesses!  The best part of Christmas is sharing with others and becoming closer with those who matter, I felt so blessed to see the smiles on the little girls faces as they looked up to me, Brooks, Adrianna, Lea, and Taylor.  It really puts into perspective the reason why we are title holders.  I enjoyed getting to know and spend time with the girls!  Over all it is the most wonderful time of the year!"  Brittany – Miss North Texas

"It’s that time of year again…for the MPFO Christmas Party! It was freezing outside! I know this because although I got a really cute, gold dress to wear, it had no sleeves and it was cocktail length. I know, that wasn’t the best idea but cuteness won against common sense.

The party was like a reunion of all my pageant friends. I enjoyed catching up with people I had not seen since July and also meeting new people that I had never met before. I also got to see Brittany who I had not seen since the pageant in October. Taylor, Brooks, Anna, and Brittany all looked beautiful in their holiday attire!

The lone star princesses looked extremely festive as well! We even played a little Christmas trivia with the girls and they all got some pretty cool gifts! The night continued with games such as Gold Fish. I think the princesses were dominating Brooks and Anna at that game ;) .

The food was amazing but I have to say that I made the mistake of waiting until everyone else got their food because when I got to the table, there was no food left. But I did enjoy a scrumptious piece of bread and cheese, hehe.

And lastly, I must say that a girl has never been spoiled unless she is a titleholder with the MPFO group. I seriously thought that Santa had come early! There were numerous gifts for all of the girls and they were all just wonderful. I had about two huge bags full of presents that I had to drag to the car at the end of the night. It was such a fun night with some of the most warm-hearted people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I would like to briefly say thank you to all who gave me a present that night!  Thanks to all for a wonderful night!"  Lea Miss Teen Frisco

"One of the things I loved about the Christmas party was feeling the warmth of love that flowed through "Pageant Central."   Troy and Ricardo had the house decorated beautifully and as we walked through the door, I could smell all of the food cooking. It was awesome getting to spend time with not only my pageant sisters but also the Lone Star Princesses. Watching them enjoy the evening reminded me of the simply joys that make life fun.   The food was amazing, playing games with the Lone Star Princesses was a lot of fun and of course opening all the wonderful gifts was enjoyable.  I don’t think I have ever laughed as much as when we were doing the round robin gift opening.  Watching the faces of everyone as they chose to open a gift or "swap" a gift was priceless.   The thing I can say I loved the most was that I got to share a special time of the year with a special group of people."

"I love Christmas parties. The MPFO Christmas party was at Troy and Ricardo’s house (pageant central) where Miss Jan insisted that I show my tooth-flipper-trick to everyone, who now probably thinks I’m crazy. But, the party was everything I hoped for… food, presents, and all my pageant sisters and board members there!"  Taylor – Miss Teen Plano
