Being a first year girl, each day of Spring Meeting is a new adventure. The main purpose of Spring Meeting is to turn in paperwork, listen to speeches, and go to rehearsals, but I also got to use it as a way to meet many new friends!
Friday night was registration, where I got to meet the other contestants and, most importantly, choose my spot in the line up. The room was filled with anticipation as each titleholder awaited their name to be called to put their name on the list. Luckily, my name was one of the first to be called so I got to sign up for the exact spot that I wanted- B24! I feel very confidant about my spot, and I cannot wait to see what the competition brings this July!
Saturday was a busy, busy day! At 9 a.m. we loaded the buses to the Dallas Children’s Hospital. There, we got to spend time with the kids and make paper crowns- and even held paper crowning ceremonies! Each contestant was instructed to bring a stuffed animal for a patient to take home with him or her. I was so pleased when I saw that my stuffed animal got to go home with my new friend Morgan! We had rehearsals all afternoon where we learned the choreography for the opening number. This was the time that all the girls really got to know each other and to give us a “sneak preview” of what Miss Texas week will be like! Then we danced the night away- literally! Saturday night we had a huge dance party! All the girls had so much fun dancing, and Ricardo had a couple moves up his sleeve as well!
Sunday was filled with more rehearsals and a wrap up meeting. After hearing Miss Texas speak about her year, I became even more determined to someday be in her spot. It was truly inspiring and the perfect push that I needed to continue my preparation.
I constantly hear talk about how after Spring Meeting is “preparation crunch-time!” However, looking back on Spring Meeting, I realize how lucky I am to be a part of MPFO. I have learned so much already and with the constant guidance from Jan and the rest of the board, I know that I will be so prepared for Miss Texas. 3 months and counting!
Baylor news that is!! Miss Frisco was featured in the Baylor Lariat! You can read the article here.
The Baylor Beauty Style Show is one of Baylor’s oldest traditions, dating back to 1950. The Baylor Beauty titleholders are all upstanding, involved, and highly recognizable women on campus. Each year the Baylor Beauties are determined by first being nominated by their organization, enduring a campus wide vote, and then participating in the annual Baylor Beauty Style Show.
When Kappa Kappa Gamma nominated me to be their freshman representative, I was then tossed onto a list of over 100 names for the campus-wide vote. With the help of my friends, I received the highest number of votes and made it to the next stage of competition- the Style Show! I, along with 7 other girls, will all vie for a spot in the overall Baylor Beauty selection on April 21. The competition includes an interview, evening gown presentation, and onstage question. Wish me luck and check back soon for the results!
Madison attended the VA Hospital in Waco and Temple with the Miss Texas Organization. In Waco she performed with her sidekick Danny.

Madison attended the Miss and Teen Carrollton pageant and had a great time watching all of her friends compete as well as visiting with her friends and some of her Lone Star Princesses.
