Miss Plano Frisco

Kendall Morris, Miss Texas 2011

Miss Frisco 2011

Kendall was pursuing her Bachelors of Arts degree in Journalism with the ambition of eventually becoming a Broadcast Journalist, that is until she won the role of Miss Texas 2011. She was well on her way to gaining the experience for this type of role and served as the Vice President of Communications with her sorority. In service to others, Kendall has found that as she puts others first, she learns more about herself and how to become a better person. Her chosen field of service is with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Kendall dedicates herself to the cause of increasing funding for research to find a cure. In setting goals, Kendall constantly refers to one of her favorite quotes, “Don’t tell me the sky’s the limit when there are footprints on the moon.”

She competed for the title of Miss Texas July 1, 2011 and performed a Piano Solo playing New World Symphony.

Kendall won not only the title of Miss Texas but was additionally awarded a $10,000 scholarship, sponsored by Harold Simmons and won the Overall Interview Award of $500 in scholarship, sponsored by Valerie Hayes.
