There is no such thing as a free education, unless of course you are awarded college scholarships. That is exactly the goal of the Miss Plano Frisco Scholarship Organization, to award scholarship funds.

As you may already know, our organization is an official preliminary to Miss America. However, you may not know that Miss America is also the largest scholarship provider for women in the world. We support that effort on the local level and know the expense of a higher education can be stressful for anyone footing the bill.

Through the Miss America system our 2006 titleholder, Shilah Philips, Miss Frisco was able to earn over $40,000 in scholarship money after becoming the first runner-up to Miss America. Before winning a title with us, Shilah was working 3 jobs and almost dropped out of school because of a lack of funds. But our local pageant was able to help make her dream come true.

Our program exists to give young women a vehicle to further their personal educational goals and you can play a part in helping them reach that goal. It was through this organization, in addition to the financial support of others like you, that Shilah was able to continue pursuing her educational dreams.

We need your help to continue helping others like Shilah, who want to realize their educational dreams. As little as $10 can actually help to make a big difference. I sincerely hope that you will consider joining us in our efforts.
